2021 Rechartering

2020 is almost over. It went by way to quick. And as we approach 2021, we have our annual rechartering, where we all have the chance to sign up to stay in scouts for another year of activities.

This year, the West Point Foundation has generously offered to subsidize the fast rising cost of the national BSA fee. So, instead of $65 scouts will only have to pay $35.

If you have any questions, let us know!

For adult leaders, note that you also have to download and sign the Additional Disclosures & Background Check Authorization form.

As with our meetings, masks and social distancing are required at all times. Scouts and leaders from different house will not share tents or cars. And we will collect the new health form on dropoff and take temperatures.

We collected a lot of people's medical forms part A and B last month. But if you didn't submit them already, they are required to go camping. These must be signed by a parent/guardian (on both parts!), but don't need to be signed by a doctor. Download the form here.

We are also doing individual cooking. You buy, bring, and prepare your own food. But like we discussed last month, the menu will be tailored to the health restrictions we are under.

Online Giving Campaign

Normally, we would have launched the Friends of Scouting campaign at our March Family Night. But once we moved online, we haven't had Family Night.

At the same time, Council is more in need than ever for funds to support all of the wonderful activities scouting makes possible. This includes camperships, training, insurance, maintenance, and our council camps: Musser and Ressica Falls.

So, please donate to Secure the Adventure. Every dollar counts!
